Guests today included Sally Falb and Rotary District Governor, Jill Olson.
Jill Olson and Susan Macken presented the Rotary Excellence Award to the Oelwein Rotary. Only 10% of clubs worldwide receive this award. Well done, Oelwein!
Brian Batterson’s name was drawn for the $8.00 jackpot today he generously donated back to the club.
Happy bucks: Sandie Graf was happy with the success of the OCAD golf tournament and thanked Deb Howard for all of her work; Sally Falb said her daughter who works for Rotary International attended a Rotary conference in Geneva, Switzerland and heard much about the work Rotary is doing to eradicate polio; Al Sanderon’s got a chance to see his youngest great-grandchild just 10 weeks old; Joan Loew had a great vacation with her daughter; Matt Vogel was happy the baseball team beat Waverly and his yard won an award; Bob Larimer was lucky to survive his two grandchild age 7 & 12 for a week visit; Jill Olson congratulated the club on its award; Curt Solsma’s office won the Clapper award from Positively Oelwein; Susan Macken was happy to replace her 40 year old carpet!
