Our speaker today was Luther Koenig who gave us a tour of Bodensteiner Implement.

OCAD golf tournament will be held this Friday,  June 27th at Edgewater, they are still accepting teams.

Ragbrai will be in Oelwein on Friday, July 25th.  Kent, Brian, Susan, Brett, Al, Ashley, Kathie +1, and Curt stated they would be available to work the booth during this event, others will still get a chance to sign up at a future meeting.  Kent Nelson and Dean Schlitter will co-chair the committee.  Non-Rotarians are also welcome to help make this a success.

Blake Kerns spoke about his experience regarding a sweet corn stand and answered questions.

July 21st will be our quarterly joint Rotary meeting with Independence, West Union and Sumner.  We will also have a board meeting immediately following that meeting.

Note this date change:  The Rotary Golf Tournament will be held August 23rd    Get your teams ready for a fun day! 

Joan Loew’s name was drawn for the jackpot of $9.00, she was heavily fined since she had won 6 times in 6 months.

Happy Bucks were given by: Al Sanderson was happy to be celebrating his birthday today and humbled by his aunt who is also celebrating her 104th birthday today and she still lives on her own.  Gene Fuelling was happy to attend his UNI basketball team reunion golf tournament, his oldest son also was home to attend his 25th high school reunion.  Todd Bradley returned from a great trip to Ireland with his family.  Curt Solsma just learned that his daughter, Lizzy, received a 4.0 for the spring semester at Wartburg.  Kent Nelson returned from Omaha where he enjoyed golf and a James Taylor concert with his daughter, Tara and husband.  And the big news of the day – Ashely Eckenrod announced she and her husband are expecting their first child at the end of November.
