Rotary 4-way test: Is it the truth?  Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build good will and better friendships?  Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

 

President Dean Schlitter opened the meeting at Luigis.

 

We welcomed Student Rotarians, Heidi Kalb and Wade Michels and Foreign Exchange Student, Florian Denis.

Happy bucks were given by Matt Vogel whose son Tyler participated in the Disney Experience American Idol contest and was a finalist. You can see his performance on the web at Disney American Idol Experience.  Bob Larimer was happy for warmer weather.  Kent Nelson was happy to have spent the weekend with his daughter, Tara in Omaha and to report that his daughter Adrian was accepted to med school at Des Moines University. Joan Loew was happy with the Cyclones winning the Big 12 tournament.

 

Business After 5 will be held this Wednesday, March 19th at Arlington Place.

 

District Rotary Conference will be held April 24-26 in Cedar Rapids.  A group from Oelwein will try to attend.

 

Our club will sponsor a community-wide Bicycle Poker Run fundraiser on June 21st.  The planning committee will meet immediately following the March 31st Rotary meeting.  Please consider volunteering your time on the planning committee.

 

Joan Loew’s name was drawn (again) for the $10.50 jackpot.
