President Brian Batterson opened the meeting at Edgewater Golf Course

We welcomed student Rotarians, Paige Wardell, Lizzy Solsma, and Andew Zech.  

Next week we will meet at Edgewater for a quick lunch then have a tour of Midwest Collision downtown.

Laura Sire’s name was drawn for the $8 jackpot today, there will be a carryover for next week.

Happy bucks: Al Sanderson’s granddaughter graduated from Northern Illinois, Curt Solsma’s daughter, Lizzy, graduated from OHS and her track team qualified for state.  Joan Loew was happy to have hosted the exchange student. 

Our speaker today was Crystal Cole, Oelwein Health Care Center administrator.

A thank you was read from the Berryman’s, Stasi’s and Loew’s for all the donations and support for Fernando, our exchange student.

OCAD will hold its annual golf tournament on June 14th . You can choose 9 or 18 holes.  Hole sponsorships are also available. Also, mark your calendars for the Rotary Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 17th.

Business After 5 will be held at Grandview on May 15th, the theme is team care. Wear your favorite team apparel to win prizes.

Also on May 15th from 5:30 to 7:30 you are invited to the Oelwein High School career and technology fair.

Al Sanderson and Brian Batterson met with the Sumner Rotary club to explore opportunities for fellowship with other clubs.

The clean up at Chrysler Park was a success, thanks to all who helped.
