Florian Denis’ graduation party will be May 29th at Luigis from 5-7.  Hometown Rewards kickoff will be that same night.  Hopefully you can attend both.

The Chrysler Park cleanup will be June 2nd at 6:00 p.m., bring rakes and gloves.  Many hands make for quick work.  We should be done around 7:00 p.m. Please sign up at the next meeting or contact Curt Solsma who is in charge of the event.

OCAD summer series begins June 12th

Oelwein Relay for Life will be held Saturday, June 14th at Husky Stadium. The Grandview Guardians are in need of participants willing to have a pie in the face as a fundraiser at this event.

We are close to meeting our Rotary Foundation goal of $2500.  If you have not donated yet, please give to Jon King by the end of May so we can meet our goal.

The Rotary Poker Bicycle Run will be held June 19th from 6-8 p.m.

The Rotary Golf Tournament will be held August 16th.  More information to follow, please see Steve Sanders if you can help with the tournament.      

Paul Schmitz’ name was drawn for the jackpot of $11.50, there will be a carryover.

We toured the new Oelwein Police Station with Chief Jeremy Logan as our guide.

Happy Bucks were given by Steve Sanders whose son, Brian, was named an ISU Student Sensation.  Todd Bradley who played blindfolded softball yesterday and didn’t get injuried.  Kent Nelson whose daughter, Tara, graduated from Creighton Law School last weekend. Jamie Letzring who attended a family high school graduation and her son’s kindergarten graduation last week. Curt Solsma whose Edward Jones office is on the top 3% in the country in assets.  Steve Westerberg attended three high school graduations last weekend including Oelweins.  Kathie Larsen whose son, Ryan, graduated from Dubque Senior.
