09/26/16
Todd Bradley called the meeting to order
Visitors – Katie Solsma
Student Rotarians – Maddie Jackson, Madison Meyer & Olivia Williams gave the announcements for the week.                                                                               
Announcements:
  • Oct. 3 –Reminder - Will begin having meetings at Valone’s. District Gov. will be at the meeting to present to our group. The Rotary Board will meet after the regular meeting.
  • Oelwein Rotary will be hosting a Rotary Foundation fundraiser. Each member will get 10 tickets to sell for $10 each. A Galena Get-A-Way for a 2-night stay for 2 will be the grand prize. We also will have a Williams Center Season Ticket package for 2, A Family Season Pass to the Oelwein Aquatic Center and A Family Pass to the Williams Wellness Center.
  • Katie Solsma reported on the Hoot for Halloween event will be brought back by the Lions Club. They have asked Rotary to help with the event. Curt Solsma has agreed to chair the Rotary portion. Volunteers will be asked to help set up the day before the event and work the games the night of the event. It will be held at the Coliseum on Oct. 31st from 5-7pm.
  • Sept. 29 – Fidelity Bank Customer Appreciation @ Oelwein Plaza 5-7pm.

Fines – Fines were assessed for anyone not participating in Fall Fling
Drawing –  Carryover $36.50 & current pot $9.50. Dylan Mulfinger was drawn, will carry over to next week!
Song of the Day – Available for $5 which will be donated to Polio Plus
Program was presented by Gayla Davis, new PA at Covenant Clinic and Mike Schemmel, new Chaplain at Mercy Hosptial.  
Meeting was adjourned.
Next meeting will be October 3rd @ 1 Valone’s Family Restaurant.
