The Rotary exchange student has arrived from Belgium, his name is Florian and he will be a senior at Oelwein High School.

 

Most of the Little Husky playground equipment has been installed.  The Rotary club received a grant for this equipment.

 

Joan Loew’s name was drawn for the $8.50 jackpot today.

There will be a joint meeting of the area Rotary clubs on October 7th at West Union.

 

Mark your calendars for the Rotary Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 17th.  Team cost will be $100, carts extra – more details to come. A flyer will be sent out via email to Rotary members.  Teams and sponsorships are needed.  If you have a team, please get your name to Steve Sanders or Brett Ingersoll.

 

Happy Bucks – Steve Sanders was happy to see his son at a Vikings game Friday night and his grandson for the weekend.  He was also happy for Sarah Lewis at the NEI golf tournament.  Al Sanderson’s granddaughter got married last weekend.  Gene Fueling was able to spend time with his grandson.  Curt Solsma was happy to have hosted Ludo from Belgium and equally as happy to see the family leave after a couple of weeks. Steve Westerberg thanked the group for the roses for his anniversary and announced his son, Scott, will be a sportscaster on KCRG in Cedar Rapids staring in a week.  Mike Kerns went to his wife Tracy’s relatives wedding in Western Iowa and was happy to remember why he no longer tent camps.
