Curt Solsma’s name was drawn for the $17.50 jackpot today, he donated back to the Rotary.
Today’s presenter was Teri Derflinger who spoke in place of Diann Cross, who was unavailable today, about the Mercy Hospital outpatient services.
No meeting next week due to Labor Day. Enjoy your day off!
Please plan attend the next meeting on Sept 9th when District Governor, John Bender will present. He will hold a board meeting with the Oelwein board at 11:00 preceding our noon meeting.
Friends of the Library will host an appreciation tea on Thursday, Sept 12th at 2:00 p.m. Author, Joslyn Green will present on the Civil War.
There will be a joint meeting of the area Rotary clubs on October 7th at West Union.
Happy Bucks – Jon King was happy his son, Jacob, scored his first touchdown at the Youth Football League Saturday. Steve Sanders was happy to spend his birthday yesterday with his mom and two sisters. Terri Derflinger will happily be attending her daughter’s white ceremony for P.A. school in North Carolina this weekend.

President Schlitter announced his goal for the club of 40 members by then end of June next year. We currently have 35 members. Members are encouraged to invite prospective members to visit the club.
