President Dean Schlitter opened the meeting at Luigis.

We welcomed Student Rotarians, Courtney Coleman and Mason Clendenen

Virginia Larimer and Storm, UIU, were a guest today.

Dr. William Duffy, President of Upper Iowa University was our speaker today.

A thank you was read from the Oelwein High School Vocal Music club for the donation from Rotary.

The BeeGees concert has been rescheduled to March 25th.

Oelwein Rotarian, Walt Saur, passed away Saturday, January 11th.  Members will have a row to sit together at his funeral on Wednesday at 10:30. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-7 at Jamison-Schmitz funeral home.

Happy bucks were presented by Kathie Larsen whose daughter was promoted to Corporal in the US Marine Corp; by Matt Vogel whose son Tyler was invited to the Cl.inton Global Iniative, Kent Nelson knows Walt would be happy with the Hawkeyes victory over #3 Ohio State; Dean Schlitter was proud to have Mason Clendenen as our student Rotarian and as his employee.  Neil Wilkinson knew our guest Storms mom when he was at UIU.

Kent Nelson won the $10 jackpot which he donated back to the club, thanks Kent.

January, February, and March meetings will be held at Luigis.
