Our speaker today was Deb Wiegel, Oelwein Publishing Company.

Rotary will meet next Monda,July 7th at Luigis.
Ragbrai will be in Oelwein on Friday, July 25th. Kent, Brian, Susan, Brett, Al, Ashley, Kathie +1, and Curt stated they would be available to work the booth during this event, others will still get a chance to sign up at a future meeting. Kent Nelson and Dean Schlitter will co-chair the committee. Non-Rotarians are also welcome to help make this a success.
July 21st will be our quarterly joint Rotary meeting with Independence, West Union and Sumner. We will also have a board meeting immediately following that meeting.
The Rotary Golf Tournament will be held August 23rd
John Sullivan’s name was drawn for the jackpot of $7.00, he was not in attendance so there will be a carryover for next week.
Happy Bucks were given by: Joan Loew was happy her children were both back in the country. Mike Kerns was happy that Joan spoke up as there were not many happy bucks hands raised. Kathie Larsen was happy to have discovered Swiss Valley Preserve near Dubuque, she recommends a visit. Deb Wiegel was happy the Edgewood Rodeo was not cancelled this past weekend. Dean Schlitter was happy with the turn out for the Tom Mossman benefit held for the East Buchanan HS principal and today was Dean’s final day as Rotary club president.
Joan Loew presented Dean Schlitter with a past-president’s plaque and pin and thanked him for his service to the club this year.
