Rotary Minutes
04/27/15
Joan Loew called the meeting to order.
Student Rotarians Katie Steward & Corey Harkin were not present
Announcements:
April 30 – Groundbreaking Ceremony at Plaza Park for new band shelter 10am
April 30- Iowa Hidden Treasures program @ Library 6pm
May 2 – Walk to Water at OHS track. Set up at 8am, still needs volunteers.
May 2- Positively Oelwein “Daddy Daughter Dance” @ Plaza
May 8-9 – Hometown Rewards Audit Blitz. Call OCAD to register.
May 9 – Oelwein City Wide Clean Up Day at Log Cabin Parking Lot, 8am-Noon
May 9 – Oldest Working Refrigerator & Freezer Contest sponsored by Oelwein Hometown Reward Committee. Call OCAD to register an appliance.

Drawing – $10.00 pot, Jon King was drawn and not present. Will carry over.
Gene Fuelling assessed various fines.
Program was presented by Deena Smock, Safe Supportive Schools Director and HS students, Zach Lamphere & Mason Moeller. They told about the positive groups and programs at the HS and how they impact the culture and climate of the school and the students.
Next meeting will be May 4th.
