  • Golf Tournament was scheduled for Aug. 23rd and was rained out. Rain date will be September 12th. Rain date will be the 19th.
  • Rotary shirts are available from Kerns. Info is on the website. Call Mike to order your shirt.
  • A makeup visit will be made to Sumer on Wednesday, Aug. 27th. Call Al Sanderson if interested in attending.
  • Performance of LeRoy VanDyke will be at the Williams Center on Aug. 30th.
  • No Meeting on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day.
  • Next meeting will be Monday, Sept. 8th. A board meeting will follow.

Fines were assessed for those not planning on attending the Williams Center performance on the 30th. Deb Howard was fined for winning the drawing and Steve Westerberg was fined for a comment!!


Speaker was Amy Wright from Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. Amy is the manager of the new OB/Women’s Clinic at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein that opened Aug. 21st. Amy told of the new clinic, hours, staffing and services available. There are two mid wives in Oelwein the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, working into everyday as needed. An OB patient will be able to have 11 of their 12 prenatal appointments locally, with the initial first appointment and delivery in Waterloo. Ultrasound, Dietician and Social Workers are all available to the patients. The clinic is located on the 4th floor of Mercy Hospital.


Next meeting is Sept. 8th at noon at Luigi’s. A board meeting will follow.
