Rotary Minutes
10/24/16
Todd Bradley called the meeting to order at Valone’s Family Restaurant
Visitors – None
Student Rotarians – Maddie Jackson & Olivia Williams gave the announcements for the week. Johanna was also present and reported on the Exchange Student meeting that she attended in Charles City. The group meets monthly.                                                                   
Announcements:
  • Oelwein Rotary will be hosting a Rotary Foundation fundraiser. October 31st, each member will get 10 tickets to sell for $10 each. Ticket booklets will be distributed next week. A Galena Get-A-Way for a 2-night stay for 2 will be the grand prize. We also will have a Williams Center Season Ticket package for 2, A Family Season Pass to the Oelwein Aquatic Center and A Family Pass to the Williams Wellness Center. The drawing for the winners will be held at the Rotary meeting on Nov. 28th.
  • Lions Hoots for Halloween will set up on Saturday, Oct. 29th from 8-10am. and need help with the event on Oct. 31. Contact Curt Solsma if you are interested in helping.
  • Olde Tyme Christmas will be held on Friday, December 2nd from 4-8 pm. The Craft/Marketplace will be from 2-8pm.
  • Oct. 26 – Frankie Vallie Performance @ Williams Center @ 7pm
  • Susan Macken reported the dictionaries have arrived and distribution to 3rd graders will be soon. If you are interested in helping at the schools, please contact Susan.
  • Mercy Hospital will be hosting an Open House for the remodel on Oct. 30th from 2-4pm.
