Announcements: BUSY, BUSY MONTH OF OCTOBER!!!!
Oct. 7 – Positively Oel”wine” League @ Decades 5:30pm
Oct. 7 – Fireman’s Spaghetti Supper @ Fire Station 4:30-7pm.
Oct. 7 – Walk at the Whistle – 1K Walk. Meet at City Park by the airplane at 5:30pm Sponsored by Oelwein Parks and Rec as part of the Iowa’s Healthiest State initiative.
Oct. 7, 14, 21, & 28 – Knights of Columbus Wednesday evening meals are starting up again.
Oct. 8 – Last day of Smithsonian display at the Oelwein Library
Now - Oct. 10 – Furniture Showcase Open House
Oct. 14 – Cash Mob. Meet at Frederick & Charles at 10am.
Oct. 14 – Olde Tyme Christmas meeting at OCAD @ 5pm. Anyone interested in helping is invited to attend.
Oct. 14 – 16 – Friends of Library Book and Bake Sale during Library hours.
Oct. 17 – Craft Brew & Wine Event 2015 for North Iowa Rotary @ Diamond Ballroom in Clear Lake 7-10pm.
Oct. 21 – OCAD Business After Five @ Oelwein Plaza. Still time to complete votes for the community awards.
Oct. 29 – Wine & Painting event
Every Saturday in October – Fitness in the Park @ Plaza Park. Zumba at 8:30 and Yoga at 9am.

Fines were assessed for having picture in the paper, not attending a Homecoming event or a Library program. .
Drawing – $10.00 pot. Matt Vogel won.
Program was given by Al Sanderson. He told of a journey of his grandfather in the 1880’s going to Nebraska.
October 19 – Better Business Bureau will be presenting. West Union and Sumner will be visiting chapter.
