Rotary Minutes
09/19/16
Sarah Lewis called the meeting to order
Visitors – None
Student Rotarians – Maddie Jackson, Madison Meyer & Olivia Williams                                                                 
Announcements:
  • Oct. 3 – Will begin having meetings at Valone’s
  • Sept. 24 – Fall Fling 10am-7pm
  • Oelwein Rotary will be hosting a Rotary Foundation fundraiser. Each member will get 10 tickets to sell for $10 each. A Galena Get-A-Way for a 2-night stay will be the grand prize. We are also looking for other nice prizes to be added to the prizes. Tickets will be ready to sell in October.
  • Curt Solsma has someone needing a ride to CR & Marshalltown. Call Curt if you can help.
  • Lion Club is reviving “Hoots” Halloween party. Have invited Rotary to assist. Will be discussed at the next board meeting.

Drawing –  Carryover & current pot $35.50. Matt Vogel was drawn, will carry over to next week!
Song of the Day – Available for $5 which will be donated to Polio Plus
Program was presented by Dr. Dan Leisinger. He gave a brief history of his professional life.
Meeting was adjourned.
Next meeting will be September 26th @ 1 West Office Plex in the office space in the main atrium.
